Marc P. Bates Observation Room

The Marc P. Bates Observation Room is located at Ferdinand's Ice Cream  Shoppe on WSU's Pullman  Campus.

 

 

The Marc P. Bates Observation Room (named for a former Creamery Manager) is located adjacent to Ferdinand’s Ice Cream Shoppe in the Food Quality Building.

Overlooking the production area of the creamery, visitors can watch cheese and ice cream being made. With advanced notice, the Creamery provides instructed field trips. There are also informational placards, posters and a short video tape for self-guided tours.

Purchasing cheese from the WSU Creamery helps support student employees of Washington State University by providing competitive wages and valuable work experiences. A portion of the revenue from the sale of WSU Creamery products is used for educational support of Food Science students.
