Viking Green Bean Casserole
- 4 cups green beans (cooked)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Dash cayenne pepper
- 1 cup shredded Viking cheese (divided)
- 2 Tbsp butter (cut in small pieces)
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup fried onions (divided)
Directions:
- Butter a shallow baking dish. Add the cooked green beans to the dish. Sprinkle with salt, cayenne pepper, 1/4 cup of the fried onions and 1/2 cup of the shredded Viking cheese; dot with half of the butter, then pour cream over all.
- Stir to blend ingredients. Sprinkle remaining cheese and fried onions over the green beans and dot with remaining butter.
- Bake at 400° F for 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
- Serve the casserole hot and enjoy!
